On Wednesday, January 15 at Bowral Bowling Club, Paul Rubie, Dave Bateup and Owen Williams defeated Bruce Franklin, Richard Denman and Clive Neutze 21-20 in the match of the day.
This was a high-flying match and all players able to raise their game particularly in the second half of the match.
Great play by both teams in the first half of the match with the scores very tight and team Williams ahead 12-7.
The second half of the match had team Williams going to a 20-12 lead after 17 ends. That's when team neutze came storming home to only go down by one shot.
This summer with heat wave conditions has been very noticeable in many matches teams have piled on the shots in the last six ends which means stamina has counted in many matches.
