Relief officer in charge Tracey Gooch said that zero incidents occurred across the celebratory period.
"It was good across the Highlands," she said.
"We're pretty happy with everything especially because we've been busy with the bushfires.
"The areas were patrolled and patrons at local establishments were well behaved.
"We didn't have any incidents on New Years Eve and New Year's Day."
Police from the Southern Highlands have also been working hard to keep the public safe from the bushfires.
"Police crews have been busy patrolling communities that have been affected by the fires," relief officer in charge Tracey Gooch said.
"We are also patrolling communities near the fires and are reinforcing the message to follow updates on Fires Near Me."
