There are still 750 homes without power in Buxton with surrounding villages also affected.
An Endeavour Energy spokesperson said that they had crews patrolling and repairing what they could on the outskirts of the fire-ground.
"It's an active fire and it's very unlikely that we will be given access today," they said.
"With high temperatures and worsening conditions on predicted for Saturday, we can't confirm when we will have access to make repairs.
"Our advice for residents in those areas is to be prepared to be without power for an extended period of time and to seek alternate accommodation if possible, especially as high temperatures are predicted.
