Wilson Drive between Hill Top and Buxton is now open.
Community safety officer Inspector David Stimson said that fire had settled down.
"It's not totally controlled but the immediate threat has started to reduce," he said.
"Firefighters are getting on top of it."
Property owners are advised to follow their bushfire plan.

The Green Wattle Creek is heading east towards Balmoral Village and has been upgraded to Watch and Act.
Firefighters continue working to protect property and establish containment lines in the area, supported by heavy plant machinery and waterbombing aircraft.
If you are in the area of Balmoral, monitor the changing conditions. Follow your bush fire survival plan.
If you are to the south east of the fire in the areas of Buxton, Balmoral, Bargo and Hill Top, monitor conditions and know what you will do if the fire threatens.
If you are to the south of the fire in the areas between Colo Vale and Bullio, monitor the conditions and be aware of embers travelling ahead of the fire front. Know what you will do if the fire threatens.

Wilson Drive is closed in both directions.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
Emergency services are on the scene.
Wilson Drive between Stella Street and Boundary Road between Hill Top and Buxton has been closed due to bushfire activity.
The report was made just before 2 pm.
Fire activity has increased in the area and is moving east. The road has been closed to allow fire fighting vehicles through.
Community safety officer Inspector David Stimson said that a large air tank carrying fire retardant will be in the area.
Inspector Stimson could not say if properties were affected.
