The Southern Highlands Inner Wheel Club will host a Christmas street stall in Corbett Plaza on December 13 from 9 am - 3 pm to support the National Braille Music Camp. The money raised will go to Roma Dix and the National Braille Music Camp which is held annually in at the Clubbe Hall at Frensham in July and will enable these blind young people to enjoy a unique experience with others like themselves.
Clay sculpture celebrates Christmas
- December 11 - 17, Bowral District Art Gallery, 10 am - 4 pm
Bowral District Art Gallery will celebrate Christmas with a clay exhibition. The exhibition will champion the amazing material of clay. Clay is versatile and can be transformed into plates, bowls, sculptures, creatures, planters and more. When creative minds from around the Southern Highlands get their hands on clay the result is a plethora of expressive forms. The exhibition will be a great opportunity to buy handmade Christmas gifts and to enjoy looking at the beautiful things the collective has produced this year. The Celebrating Clay Xmas Exhibition will be held from December 11 to 17 from 10am to 4pm at BDAS Gallery 1 Short Street, Bowral.
Jimmy Barnes: Up Close and Personal
- December 15, The Loch, Berrima, Gates open at 4 pm for 5:30 pm start
Aussie legend Jimmy Barnes will rock the region with an Up Close and Personal performance. Mr Barnes said he wanted to give back to the Southern Highlands community for Christmas with a concert on December 15.The intimate semi-acoustic performance will deliver new songs and all the hits. Up Close and Personal will be a family affair, with Barnsey's daughters Elly-May and EJ, wife Jane, son Jackie and son-in-law Ben Rodgers all playing an important role in the performance. Gates open at 4pm with a complimentary drink on arrival. The performance will commence from 5:30pm with wine and food throughout the evening.Tickets are $195 with a maximum of 280 available. - December 14, Bowral Uniting Church, 8 am - 2 pm
Get your Christmas shopping done at the Christmas markets this weekend. There will be hand made and home made gifts for the special people in your life. There will also be books, plants, confectionery and more. Grab a gingerbread house or enjoy a number of Christmas cakes, jams or enjoy a scrumptious Devonshire tea or a BBQ sausage sandwich to sate your appetite.
