As the largest annual fundraiser for RMHC Australia nationally, McHappy Day is instrumental in raising funds for the charity, which helps keep families together while their seriously ill or injured child undergoes treatment.
McDonald's Australia and RMHC together have exceeded their fundraising goal of $5 million and an official donation tally will be released next week.
McHappy Day National Ambassador, actress Katie Holmes, and other community legends around the country, lent their support over the weekend to make this year's McHappy Day the biggest year yet.
Australians also supported McHappy Day more than ever before by picking up a Big Mac, a pair of Silly Socks, Helping Hands, bottles of Big Mac Special Sauce or donated a gold coin via the Bucket Brigade in McDonald's restaurants.
Since it first started in 1991, McHappy Day has raised more than $51 million for RMHC.
