Share the Dignity collects thousands of sanitary products each year for women in need. The charity makes a real, on-the-ground difference to girls and women experiencing homelessness, domestic violence and period poverty.
The appeal encourages people to fill a handbag they no longer use with pads, tampons, personal hygiene products and everyday luxuries to make life better for a woman or girl this Christmas
Essentials include:
- Pads/ tampons
- Shampoo
- Conditioner
- Toothbrush
- Toothpaste
- Roll on deodorant
- Soap or Body wash
Moss Vale Evewning CWA member Jennifer Bowe said they had donated 33 handbags and one nappy bag.
"We support women and families whether they are in our community our from around the state," she said.
Spoilt Hairdressing is an unofficial drop-off point in Moss Vale. They then take the bags to the official drop-off location at Bunnings in Mittagong.
"There is more opportunity to drop bags off at the hairdresser," Ms Bowe said.
Donations to Share the Dignity will be accepted until December 7.
