The bushfire danger rating for the Wingecarribee on Sunday is very high and there is a total fire ban in place all day.
During a total fire ban no fire may be lit in the open and all fire permits are suspended.
This includes incinerators and barbecues (BBQs) which burn solid fuel such as wood, charcoal or heat beads.
No general purpose welding, grinding, soldering or gas cutting can be done in the open.
The Rural Fire Service has advised residents to review their bushfire survival plans, keep themselves informed, monitor conditions and be ready to act if necessary.
If you see any fires which are not being attended by firefighters, call Triple Zero (000) immediately.

There is also a very high bushfire danger rating in places for nearby local government areas including Wollondilly, Wollongong, Kiama, Shellharbour and Shoalhaven.
