The new shop at Bowral, located at 273 Bong Bong Street will open in early January 2020 and will bring more of Anglicare's essential services to the region.
"The new shop will be a great spot to shop for a bargain amongst a wide range of high quality new and preloved clothing and accessories, as well as a safe place to drop in, feel valued and find a caring, listening ear," says Ian Moore, Anglicare's Head of Retail.
The shop will include a Community Pantry that will provide customers with affordable groceries.
The Bowral Community Pantry adds to the Mobile Community Pantries that already operate out of Moss Vale Anglican Church and Mittagong Anglican Church.
"We are looking forward to having a physical presence in the Highlands which complements our mobile approach to getting out to people in need," says Mr Moore.
He adds that Anglicare is looking to partner with the local community in bringing meaningful assistance to the region.
"We are currently calling for volunteers who will be able to work in a retail environment and also provide a compassionate, listening ear to those who come into the store seeking assistance," says Mr Moore.
