Here is an opportunity at Moss Vale to learn more.
The NSW Government invites businesses that want to take the next step into international markets to attend a free workshop on exporting at the Moss Vale Civic Centre.
The Introduction to Exporting workshop will be held on November 26 from 9.30am to 1pm.
Goulburn MP Wendy Tuckerman said the free interactive workshop and networking lunch was suitable for all businesses including those aspiring to export, starting out on their export journey, or already exporting but wanting to grow their knowledge.
"This event is part of the NSW Government's Export Capability Building Program and is being delivered with Wingecarribee Shire Council Council, the Canberra Region Joint Organisation, the Export Council of Australia and Canberra Airport," she said.
"The workshop will include an introduction to exporting by the Export Council of Australia and a panel discussion on the opportunities and challenges of exporting.
"It will also be a chance to learn about potential international freight opportunities through Canberra Airport."
Deputy Premier and Minister for Industry and Trade John Barilaro said the NSW and ACT governments had committed to improving freight and export opportunities through Canberra Airport as part of a regional agreement.
"NSW's Future Transport 2056 Strategy has identified Canberra as a Global Gateway City providing international freight capabilities for regional businesses," he said.
"There is great potential for southern NSW and ACT businesses seeking easy and fast access to international markets, particularly Asia, with flow-on benefits for cargo and passenger services."
Mr Barilaro said the NSW Government also assisted companies through a network of export advisors located across the state.
"NSW companies exported $89 billion worth of goods and services in the 2017-2018 financial year," he said.
"Businesses that export are generally more successful, hire more staff, pay higher wages and have better productivity than firms that don't export."
