The cottage is DA approved and is regularly rented out for weekend stays and holiday periods and provides a consistent revenue stream. Montrose Berry Farm is a working farm. Until recently it produced a wide variety of berries, fruit and artisanal berry products and was also open to the public for "pick your own" days. Jams, vinegars, pickles and the famous berry pies were also available to purchase at the council-approved farm stall.
