Robertson Antiques and Collectibles Fair
- November 16 - 17, Robertson School of Arts, 10 am - 5 pm
Dealers from all around the country will come together for the 11th Annual Robertson Antiques and Collectibles Fair From the smallest thimble to the grandest Victorian chest, the fair will cater to all tastes and incomes. Prices will be competitive and the range of items for sale enormous, with everything under one roof. Items on offer include: Georgian and Victorian jewellery, English and European porcelain, silver, glass, linen, lamps, collectables and furniture. Money raised from the fair will help maintain the School of Arts Hall. . Admission is $8 for adults including a lucky door prize ticket. Children are free. There will be plenty of parking and the hall is wheelchair accessible.
Highlands Garden Rose Show
- November 15, Uniting Church Hall in Bowral, 10:30 am - 4 pm
Visitors will be able to view prize-winning varieties of rose in 25 categories. Entry is $5 per person. Accompanied children are free. The Rose Show will include exhibition styles: Floribunda, Modern Shrub, David Austin, Miniature and Heritage roses.A 50-minute seminar on garden photography will be presented at 12:30pm and 2pm for $10. Bowral photographer and National President of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography John Swainston will host the event. Refreshments will be available for purchase.
Find your sacred balance at Soul Time
- November 17, Henrietta Rose Room, Bowral, 10:30 am - 12 pm
Soul Time is on again. A morning of live music, audio-visual pieces, readings from faiths and philosophers, authors, leaders and indigenous cultures will have you ready for the week ahead. The theme will be "The Sacred Balance". The aim will be to explore humanity's physical and spiritual relationship with the environment, and how these two elements can work hand in hand to address the environmental challenges of today and tomorrow. The event is a free community service initiative of the Baha'i community of Wingecarribee.
Beautiful Weeds and other prints and paintings
- November 14 - 27, Milk Factory Gallery, 10 am - 4 pm
Patti Jones has produced a series of hand coloured linocuts, exploring the adaption or otherwise, of introduced plants into Australia. Painting in watercolour has given a new meaning to her practice and she has developed a passion for this challenging medium. The beautiful translucent layers and atmospheric effects produced with watercolour is like no other. There will be drinks with Patti Jones on November 16 from 2 pm.
