Everyone has been incredibly enthusiastic about this engaging and practical learning experience, each taking ownership and responsibility for maintaining the vegetable garden.
Everyone has been incredibly enthusiastic about this engaging and practical learning experience.
This activity is keeping everyone busy and excited to be involved as they watch their gardens grow.
Due to having such a keen and successful group of budding gardeners, we have been extremely fortunate to be able to extend this experience to Interchange Australia's 'garden to plate' program.
In this program we learn how to make healthy eating choices, and how to prepare beautiful dishes using our very own fresh garden produce.
Everyone also has the opportunity to take home any excess fresh produce with recipes to share and extend this experience into their homes with family and friends.
A healthy diet packed with fresh fruits and vegetables helps pave the way to a healthy heart and blood vessels, strong bones and muscles, a sharp mind and so much more.
The Garden Gurus program combined with our fabulous cooking classes Cheftastics (held every Monday) and Mix Masters (held every second Tuesday evening) not only encourages physical activity in the garden, but it is also a continuing learning experience and insight into being self-sufficient, encouraging organic healthy eating with hands-on learning and understanding.
Our food is our fuel, the first step to being healthy is eating well.
