On November 11 1918 a cease fire and armistice was called to mark the end of World War 1.
On the eleventh hour, on the eleventh day, on the eleventh month in 1918 an armistice was signed between the Allies of World War I and the German Axis, ending hostilities on the Western Front.
Services in the Highlands include:
Mittagong RSL sub branch
The Mittagong RSL sub-branch will hold a Remembrance Day service at outside of Mittagong RSL.
Veterans will arrive at the RSL Club at 10:15 for a 10:30 start and a minute silence will commence at 11 am.
The service will include wreath laying and speeches from service members. Students from Mittagong Primary School and Frensham College will be in attendance.
The Air League will lower the flag to half mast, while Emily Wanczura will play the bugle. The Southern Highlands Pipe Band will also be in attendance.
Following the service, there will be morning tea.
Bowral RSL sub branch
The Bowral sub branch will hold a Remembrance Day service at the Bowral War Memorial at 10:40 am with a full service and wreath laying.
Retired Commodore David Farthing from the Royal Australian Navy will be the guest speaker.

Bundanoon RSL sub branch
Bundanoon RSL Sub Branch Remembrance Day Service will take place at the Southern Memorial Service starts at 10:40am
