Robin Staples defeated Mick Flynn 31-21 to move into the semi-finals.
Flynn was able to discover some form in the second half with a range of shots and after 29 ends was again only one shot behind 23-21.
The next five ends Staples kept getting bowls just inside Flynn's bowls to win all five ends to move comfortably into the semi-finals.
Meanwhile Eric Willacy defeated Viv Gear 31-21 to move into the semi-finals.
Mike Holmwood will join Staples and Willacy after he defeated Bob Edwards 31-24.

In the match of the day Richard Denman David Bateup defeated Chris Forrester Brian Payne 18-17.
Forrester and Payne had a 15-3 lead after 11 ends.
Before a determined fight back by Denman and Bateup who won eight of the last ten ends to win by one shot.
Brown and Wall get up on last end to move into final club mixed pairs
Shile Brown and Harold Wall defeated Brian porter and Reta South 18-17 in a finals decider.
Porter and South got away to a flying start leading 6-0 after two ends.
They increased this to 11-1 after five ends.
Brown and Wall won three ends in a row to trail 11-6 after eight ends.
Then Porter and South took control of the game to have what looked to be a winning lead 15-6 after 12 ends.
Brown and Wall picked up five shots on the 13th end to narrow the gap to 15-11.
With two ends to play Porter and South still had the lead 17-12.
Brown and Wall put in a big finish scoring two lots three to run out winners by one shot.
The other match between two unbeaten teams was to see who would move into the final.
Slyvia Handley and Kevin Stafford defeated Gail Fraser and Jim Neely 23-20.
In the first half of the match Both sides level 8-8 after five ends 13-13 after nine ends.
On the back of good team work Handley and Stafford took a 17-12 lead after 11 ends.
Fraser and Neely hit back to have the match level 17-17 after 13 ends.
With two ends to play Handley and Stafford had a 23-17 lead Fraser and Neely won the last two ends but it was Handley and Stafford moving into the final with a three shot win.
Final rankings after three weeks
1st - Slyvia Handley and Kevin Stafford, 9 points, margin 40.
2nd - Shile Brown and Harold Wall, 9 points, margin 13.
3rd - Gail Fraser and Jim Neely, 6points, margin 46.
