The Robertson School of Arts Hall has been given a spruce up after funds were secured earlier this year.
The Robertson School of Arts committee applied for a grant of $99,490 from the NSW Government Rural Cultural Fund in 2019 to replace the stage roof, replace concrete entry, paint the outside of the hall, replace the front fence, and erect a new sign.
This was approved and the work has now been completed. The fresh new work was cause for celebration at the hall on 26.
Goulburn MP Wendy Tuckerman was on hand to unveil a plaque to celebrate the new-look hall and an afternoon tea was enjoyed by all in attendance.
About 30 people joined the celebration with special guests including Councillor Larry Whipper from Wingecarribee Shire Council and Julia Pucci from the Regional Cultural Fund.
Robertson School of Arts president Jean Tobler presented Appreciation Certificates to Robertson Supermarket, Robertson Fruit Shop, Robertson Butchery, Mr Ian Field, Mr and Mrs Barry Austin, Jenny Kenna, Noel McDonald, Wingecarribee Shire Council, Wendy Tuckerman MP.
This refurbishment funding has made the Robertson Hall a great asset for the village and the committee encourages people to use this facility when a need is required.
