He's had a hand in shaping the club for 2019 and now looks to take the Kookaburras into the future.

"It's really humbling," Massey said.
"I'm grateful for the opportunity. I've been playing at the club since the early 90s as a kid. Growing up within the Hill Top community and club, learning to kick the ball around with mates, it's made me who I am today.
"I'm just so grateful to be able to give back to the club."
Being appointed club person of the year was no easy path for Massey. It was a lot of hard work and early mornings. He spoke of what got him his newly awarded title.
"This year I organised a government grant for the club," Massey said.
"I was getting down early helping set up the junior soccer fields. I also helped out in the canteen. I was a bit of a fill in coach for the juniors and a mentor for some of the kids as well."
Playing in the third grade squad, it wasn't the easiest of seasons for Massey.
"It was a challenging season for the team as whole," Massey said.
"I really enjoyed being a mentor this season. We use the third grade to bring through the youth grade players through into the grade sides and all age men. But, having a kick around with the younger guys makes me feel younger and I really enjoy it."
Taking on the role as president is a tough ask for anyone or any club. But this is an opportunity Massey can't wait to dive into.
"It's going to be a big challenge for me," Massey said.
"It's also an opportunity to give back to the club. I feel I owe the club as it's given me so much. I'm looking forward to taking the club to the next step.
With his time at the helm, Massey already has plans for the club.
"I want to create a safe and inclusive environment for the junior kids," Massey said.
"I also want to promote a healthy and active lifestyle in the Northern Villages and Hill Top."
