This will occur as Wingecarribee Shire Council undertakes utility service relocation works from October 21.
The works will be carried out along Kirkham Road between Sherwood Ave and Oxleys Hill Road and up to Kiama Street as part of the Kirkham Road (South) Road Reconstruction Project.
The objectives of the overall project include road reconstruction, formalising car parking arrangements and improving pedestrian access.
The scope of the utility service relocation work includes:
- construction of new stormwater drainage and relocation of existing water main at Sherwood Avenue,
- relocation of existing gas main at Sherwood Avenue and Wingecarribee Streets, and
- relocation of existing Telstra and NBN services throughout the project location.
Work will be carried out between 7am and 6pm weekdays.
During relocation and construction works, sections of the road may be temporarily reduced to one-way traffic, however, property access will be maintained.
Prior to works commencing affected properties will be provided with written notification.
Road users are cautioned to follow directions for the changed traffic conditions, exercise care when traveling through the work zones and be aware of loose stones and heavy machinery within the work areas.
Council thanks motorists and pedestrians in advance for their cooperation and apologise for any temporary delays or inconvenience.
Works are expected to be completed by the end of December 2019.
All time frames are subject to weather conditions.
