Together the will play a program featuring a mystery woman, as well as songs by Lili Boulanger and Clara Shumann.
Who is the mystery women? Franz Liszt taught her piano. Chopin was a good friend who accompanied her in concerts. Brahms wrote his "Alto Rhapsody" for her, and Schumann admired her.
She was famous and charismatic, an international opera star, composer, pianist of concert rank, a great actress, an artist and a voice teacher.
Her life spanned most of the 19th century and into the early part of the 20th century.
