The free Pause 4 Paws HSC study days are back at the Henrietta Rose Room between 9am and 5pm from Tuesday, October 8 to Thursday, October 10.
Council's coordinator of library services Andrew White said this would be an opportunity for students to mix up their study routine.
"Libraries have always been a perfect setting for study," Mr White said.
"We all know that final exams can be a bit nerve-wracking.
"So this year we've invited some special four-legged friends to visit students courtesy of council's youth program and PAWS Pet Therapy in an attempt to reduce some of the stress."
The therapy dogs will visit the library and the Henrietta Rose Room on each of the three HSC Study Days.
The dogs are available to anyone who would like to take a short break from their study.
