Sydney Hotshots
- October 4, Bowral Bowling Club, 7:30 pm
Ladies leave your men at home and head to Bowral Bowling Club. For one night only Sydney Hotshots will entertain the ladies with their sensational dance routines and stunning costumes. With over 20 years of touring they have developed their show into a unforgettable ladies night experience that will leave their audience breathless. The show also promises interaction with the audience including being brought up onto the stage and serenaded by the handsome men of Sydney's Hotshots. This event is strictly for people aged over 18-years-old. Tickets can be purchased via eventbrite or reception and cost $35.
Southern Highlands Embroiderer's Exhibition
- October 1 - 31, Wingecarribee Shire Council Foyer, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
The Southern Highlands Embroiderer's Group will display an amazing display of traditional and contemporary embroidery called "We Love Embroidery" in the month of October. The exhibition can be viewed in the foyer of Wingecarribee Shire Council. The group meets on the second Saturday of the month from 12 pm - 4:30 pm at the Senior Citizens' Hall in Mittagong, all new members are welcome.
Rumsey and Friends - Afternoon Delights
- October 5, Rose Room, Burradoo, 2:30pm and October 6, Bundanoon Memorial Hall, 4:30pm
Get ready or a sumptuous feast of music featuring Ivan Horvatic and Andrew Rumsey as they prepare an aural banquet of classical gems. Perofrming 'Four hands, One Piano', it will be a performance not to be missed. The program will include works by Lizst, Ravel, Poulenc, Saint-Saens, Grieg and more. Tickets range between $30 - $40.
Organ Recital at St Jude's
- October 2, St Jude's Anglican Church, Bowral, 7 pm
One of Australia's leading concert organists David Drury will perform at St Jude's Bowral. The organ recital will help raise funds for the three new manual consoles and concomitant extension for the St Jude organ. The program is sponsored by the Reverend Dr Ivan and Mrs Christine Head. Admission is $40.
In Two Minds
- October 5 - 7, Fettlers Shed, Robertson, 10 am - 2pm
In Two Minds is about provoking the viewer and preserving public memory. Tarni Rix and Stuart Gibson are members of Red Point Artists and have two different outlooks on art and life. Tarni interrupted her professional career to explore how deep emotion can be expressed in painting. Stuart is one of few railway artists who work exclusively in watercolour.
