Probationary Constable Dillon Ray recently graduated from Goulburn Police Academy, and has served his first month as a police officer in the Southern Highlands.
"[I joined the police force because] I wanted to give back to my community and make a bit of a difference," he said.
"I did the University Certificate in Workforce Essentials (UCWE) online when I was out of school. I took a gap year and then did my application process during that time because it takes a while to get it.
"I started in Goulburn in January and I was there for eight months.
"I love it, it's awesome. I love doing something different every day. It's all good, there's nothing bad about. Everyone here is really good."
