The village of Bundanoon will celebrate 10 years since the people first banned single use water bottles, at the Bundanoon Earth Festival. There will be more than 40 stalls, displays and exhibitions and plenty of entertainment for the kids. Learn about recycling, compost and more with a variety of speakers and workshops available. You will also have the opportunity to buy re-usable bags for your vegetables and general shopping or a keep cup for your daily coffee.
A Vibrant Perspective - Art Exhibition
- September 14 - October 30, Milk Factory Gallery, Bowral, 10 am - 4 pm
Artist Aidan Weichard will exhibit his collection of mixed medium art work depicting his appreciation for beautiful animals, people and landscapes at the Milk Factory Gallery. Inspired by the Gippsland region in Victoria, Aidan uses bright bold colours as he believes that colour reflects and emphasises characteristics, personality and emotions.
Serendipity by Wayne Davis and Friends
- September 19 - 25, Bowral Art Gallery, 10 am - 4 pm
Local artist and art tutor Wayne Davis will exhibit his latest collection of water colours, oils and pastels at the Bowral Art Gallery. The exhibition also features works from his associates a they cover a range of genres and styles. The official exhibition opening is on September 21 at 2:30 pm, with light refreshments available.
The Southern Highlands Symphony Orchestra Series 3
- September 21 - 22, Bowral Memorial Hall, 2:30 pm
The Southern Highlands Symphony Orchestra will present its jubliant fifth anniversary concert series. Opening the concert series will be John Williams' Phantom Menance, which will include the notable 'Duel of the Fates' and 'Anakin's Theme'. Southern Highlands very own violinist Cedar-Rose Newman will perform Lalo's Symphonie espagnole. Cedar-Rose, who is only 15 years-old, is currently studying at the Manhattan School of Music in New York. The performance will end with Saint-Saens' Symphony No. 3 "Organ Symphony".
Berrima Schoolyard Markets
- September 22, Berrima Public School, 9 am - 2 pm
Get your market fix at Berrima Schoolyard markets. There will be plenty of fresh produce, stalls and delicious treats for everyone. Get your fashion fix, or buy a gift at one of the plenty of stalls on the day. Feeling hungry? The kitchen cafe is open and ready to serve up something to keep your warm. Let the kids run around, with a jumping castle and playground to keep them entertained.
