Second round matches of the consistency singles were played and in the match of the day and saw Steve Day defeat Clive neutze 150-140.
Clive Neutze said that Steve Day must have been doing a lot of training. After eleven ends Neutze had a 58-52 lead, but all the next few ends in favour of Day who then got a head start and went to a 140-110 lead.
Neutze then started to turn the game around but at the finish was to fall short by ten shots.
Meanwhile, the title holder Mick Flynn has been going along quietly to try and claim his second title. Flynn played a flawless match to defeat Dave Riddell 150-62.
Rick Reynolds winning streak came to a halt when he was defeated by Keith Edwards 150-78. John Edmonds winning run came to a end when he lost to Bob Edwards 153-105.

Club news:
Merrylands RSL will be returning to Bowral on Sunday, October 13 to play in an annual match. This will involve ladies and men's bowlers.
Last years match was washed out, so if you stop and think it's been a stretching, long way since we have had a good rainfall .
Ironically as much as we all like our bowls ,we badly need the rain, so who knows what October 13 may bring on the day.
