See the iconic Australian band, Gang gajang live at the Bowral Bowling Club on their 'Surfing Round The World' tour. Inspired by the likes of The Sex Pistols, The Ramones and The Clash; the band is most commonly known from their hit, Sounds of Then (This is Australia). This event is available for anyone over the age of 18, and general admission is priced at $33.15, on the Moshtix website.
Highlands Sinfonia Dignity Concert
- September 13, St Jude's Bowral, 10:30 am
Join the esteemed Highland Sinfonia in presenting a classical music concert in support of Dignity. Dignity is an organisation dedicated to helping people who are homeless, or at risk of experiencing homelessness in the Southern Highlands. The soloists include Michelle Biasutti, Maria Dunn and Michelle Mulvihill. Tickets are priced at $20 at the door, and a light lunch will follow for $7.
Steel City Strings
- September 15, Chevalier Performing Arts Centre, 2pm
Witness the award-winning ensemble led by Artistic Director Kyle Little perform at Chevalier Performing Arts Centre. The group will be performing Mozart's Jupiter Symphony and other symphonic favourites. Tickets range between $10-$45, and groups of five or more are $20 per person.
Bowral Public School Art Show
- September 13-15, Bowral Public School, from 6 pm
This year at Bowral Public School, the children have been expressing their creativity through art, through the theme 'take flight'. Individual artworks and collective classwork will be put on display and are for sale as a part of the event, with each piece up for grabs at $25 each. Tickets are currently on sale for $10 per person for opening night, and food and drinks will be available for purchase. Entry to the exhibition after the opening night will be a gold coin donation
The Toy Box
- September 14, The Rose Room, Bundaroo, 2:30 pm
Are you looking for something fun and entertaining? Bring your children down to the Toy Box, a modern take on the 1913 ballet composed by Claude Debussy. This ballet is an excellent introduction for children into the world of classical music. Adults are priced at $35, and children will be able to enter free.
St Jude's Mid Week Recital
- September 11, St Jude's Bowral, 1:15pm
Celebrated Australian composer and pianist Ann Carr-Boyd will be joined by Debbie Angus at the Midweek lunch time recital at St Jude's to perform several duets by local composers, including some by Ann. Admissions are by donation.
