The outstanding results have qualified the teams for the NSW state finals.
Organisers noted it was an exceptional feat for two teams from the one school to be awarded first Place.
Gib Gate students competed in two divisions - Social Science and The Arts - against 25 other schools from the South Coast and Southern Highlands.
Tournament of Minds is an international, creative problem-solving program for teams of seven students.
The teams are required to work together on a long term challenge for six weeks, without assistance from teachers or parents.
Encouraged to explore possibilities and experiment with ideas, the students produce their best possible solution and develop an original way to communicate this to a panel of judges on Tournament Day.
The teams must also participate in an unseen spontaneous challenge on the day.
This challenge requires rapid interchange of ideas, the ability to think creatively, and well developed group co-operation skills.
The school's Gifted and Talented Programs P-12 co-ordinator Kate Chauncy said Tournament of Minds was an opportunity for students with a passion for learning and problem solving to demonstrate their skills and talents in an exciting, vibrant and public way.
"We are proud of the Gib Gate students and their teacher, Mrs Katelyn Williamson's, achievements," she said.
Mrs Williamson said that throughout the six-week preparation, both teams demonstrated outstanding teamwork, producing creative solutions to their respective problems.
"The flawless performance of both teams at the regional competition was a reflection of their commitment to excellence and ability to rise to the challenge," she said.
The Gib Gate teams are now preparing for the State Finals which will be held at the University of New South Wales on 15 September.
