In to the wild

Head 'In to the Wild' at the latest art exhibition at the Milk Factory pop up gallery with art work from Penelope Oates, Emel Jurd and Kristine Ballard. Inspired by the Hawksbury, Southern Highlands and Blue Mountains, the artists use colour, light and texture to celebrate the natural Australian landscape. On September 7, exhibition visitors will have a chance to meet and have a drink with the artists between 2 pm - 4 pm.
Home in the Highlands

Highlands artist Elizabeth Young will exhibit her 'Home in the Highlands' collection at the Milk Gallery. Inspired by the Southern Highlands, Elizabeth will show case the beauty of the Southern Highlands using a range of mediums, tones, textures. Elizabeth is an acclaimed artist who currently lives in the Highlands and has a career spanning across 30 years.
Skylines Art Exhibition

Debuting her first solo art exhibition 'Skylines' artist Julia Tinnion has focused her art work around her time spent in mountainours regions in Europe, Australia and Morocco. Working from photographs from her travels, the paintings show the light and dark of the mountainous landscape as well as the scale and atmosphere of the places she has visited. The official opening for the exhibition is on September 7, 2 pm at the Bowral Art Gallery, 1 Short Street Bowral.
Highlands Garden Society Bowral Camellia Spring Flower Show
- September 7, Uniting Church Hall, Bowral, 10 am - 3 pm.
Spring is in the air and the camellias are starting to bloom. The Highlands Garden Society Bowral is welcoming spring in to the Highlands with their annual Camellia and Spring Flower Show. There will 26 categories of camellia exhibits and 15 spring flowers and plants exhibits and a floral art exhibit. The show will also feature special guest Sandy Marker who will demonstrate the traditional art of Ikebana, Japanese flower arranging. Admissions price is $5 and the Ikebana demonstation is $10.
Colo Vale Village Markets

The monthly Colo Vale village markets are back and will put a 'spring' in your step. Head to the markets to stock up on delicious local produce such as honey, eggs, olives, nuts and more. There will be plenty of stalls to browse through, with jewellery, plants, candles and so much more.
