Cr Whipper had concluded discussing the annual White Ribbon Walk, which is a walk against domestic violence to be held in November, an initiative that is supported by WHAC.
He mentioned a possible vegetarian sausage sizzle will be on offer "for those that are against that sort of violence as well".
As secrerary of the Wingecarribee Hunters and Anglers Club I believe drawing such distasteful comparisons between domestic violence and people eating meat as some form of violence is unacceptable.
There is no comparison, and such a suggestion made by a councillor is disparaging and offensive to the people who consume meat across the Wingecarribee shire.
The president of the Wingecarribee Hunters and Anglers Club, Craig Golding, considers Cr Whipper's comments unfortunate and an insult to the many world class beef and lamb producers in the Southern Highlands.
Furthermore Craig Golding describes Cr Whippers attempt to link the consumption of meat to domestic violence is nothing more than cheap political point scoring.
The club supports the White Ribbon Walk, and rejects any form of violence, domestic or otherwise that is perpetrated against men, women or children.
We respect the minority of people who choose to live a vegetarian lifestyle; however it is disappointing that some individuals who pursue such an alternative have resentment toward others who do not conform to such lifestyle, even at a local government level.
The Wingecarribee Hunters and Anglers Club (est 2017) is a Bowral-based club with nearly 60 members who hunt and fish regularly with a focus on education, safety and the humane control of feral and introduced pest species as well as harvesting of game meat.

Dog poo dilemma
I have thought about this when walking my dogs and think I have come up with a solution.
I have purchased cheap recycled toilet paper and then degradable bags to put it in.
While the poo by itself would probably break down quicker - at least the other items will too ...eventually.

'Keep the laws in place'
I would like to add my voice to the abortion debate.
If keeping the existing laws saves one child's life isn't that enough to keep the laws in place.
