Daffodil Day will take place on August 23 to raise funds for life-saving cancer research.
Over the past 20 years, more than 61,000 Australian lives have been saved by improvements in cancer prevention, screening and treatment as a result of cancer research. With continued community support, many more lives will be saved.

This year, Daffodil Day celebrates 33 years of turning Australia yellow, with Cancer Council aiming to raise more than $4 million for cancer research through online donations, and by recruiting more than 3,110 volunteers to staff around 420 sites on Daffodil Day in NSW alone.
Southern Highlands residents have been encouraged to get involved and show their support for anyone affected by cancer by donating to wear a daffodil pin or to receive fresh daffodils at one of two stalls at Mittagong Marketplace and Bong Bong St, Bowral.
Daffodil Day is Cancer Council's most iconic fundraising event, focusing on the daffodil, the international symbol of hope for everyone affected by cancer.
If you can't make it into a stall you can also contact the office on 02 4223 0200 or donate online.
"We need the support of our communities to help us raise money for life-saving cancer research. By donating on Daffodil Day, you're helping us get one step closer to a world without cancer," said community lead Grant Plecas.
The Cancer Council is committed to reducing the burden of cancer and every day they work towards the vision of a cancer free future.
One in two Australians will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85.
Funds raised through the Daffodil Day Appeal will go towards funding cancer research, with the potential to find the next breakthrough in cancer treatment or detection.
