Held at Bowral Golf Club, past club president Brenda Apostolatos handed the reigns over to founding member and second time president Barbara Smith.

The event was attended by members of the Camden and Inner Sydney branch of the Inner Wheel and Moss Vale Rotary Club. Special guests included past international inner wheel president Chris Kirby and Mayor Duncan Gair.

During the lunch, Brenda presented Quest for Life founder Petrea King with a cheque for $15,000 after a successful fashion fundraiser held in June.

Past international inner wheel president Chris Kirby said that the Inner Wheel was about achievement as a whole and not for inner glory.

"[The Inner Wheel] always delivers projects that reflect the spirit of the group," she said.

"We do things in the name of community service."

Founder of the Inner Wheel Club Southern Highlands and president Barbara Smith said she was thrilled to be president.

"I can't wait to bring the fun," she said.

"It's all for one and one for all."

At the changeover lunch, both Erika Hughes and Barbara Smith received their 25 year service pin, presented to them by Chris Kirby.

The Inner Wheel was founded by the wives of the men in Rotary Club and is based on friendship, service and understanding. The symbol for the Inner Wheel club is the red rose which symbolises friendship.

The Inner Wheel Southern Highlands branch was initially sponsored by the Moss Vale Rotary Club 22 years ago.
