Miriam Williams from Picton is due to give birth to her first child at Bowral and District Hospital in September.
She said she'd chosen Bowral and District Hospital because her husband Ben and his sister were born there, and she'd also been blown away by the care her friend had received when she'd given birth at the hospital three years ago.
"At one of my midwife appointments at Bowral hospital I was told about the Tahmoor clinic," she said.
"It takes me three minutes to get there from where I live so it's super easy and convenient and there's always space available when I need an appointment."
Mrs Williams said she also valued being able to build a relationship with the midwife at the clinic.
She said the clinic did the same checks as the hospital - blood pressure, measurements, scans - and it was a service she'd recommend to others.
"To me, going to the clinic is no different than going to the hospital."
Leigh Kennedy from Thirlmere was one of the first mothers to attend the clinic when it opened in March.
She gave birth to her second child, son Bronik, at Bowral and District Hospital on June 26.
She also welcomed the convenience of living only 10 minutes from the clinic and the opportunity to build a good rapport with her midwife
"Attending the clinic was convenient and easy with a toddler," she said.
"My midwife was always involving my daughter Maddison who's two-and-a-half, explaining what she was doing.
"She was also at my birth and that made me feel comfortable having her there considering I saw her during most of my pregnancy."
The Midwives Clinic is held on Tuesdays at Wollondilly Community Health Centre, 15 Harper Close, Tahmoor.
More clinics will be opening on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
The clinic is for low risk pregnancies. Hospital bookings and first appointments must be done at the hospital.
