The exhibition called 'Four' will feature works inspired by natural landscapes, the beauty of flowers and gardens, interiors, still life and the human figure.
The paintings represent and interpret their visual experiences, memories, emotions and intuitive responses to the world around them.
The four artists, Jennifer Maree, Denise Markovics, Judith Weeks and Vivienne Karassoi met at the Bowral Art Gallery and despite using different mediums and styles, have come together to show their works.
Jennifer uses a variety of media to produce expressive paintings and drawings using a combination watercolour, charcoal, ink, pastels and gesso.
"I work in an expressive manner, inspired by colour, shape and mark making," she said.
"My images come from the landscape, still life and personal memories and experiences.
"Each work is a journey in response to the marks made and can move in surprising and unexpected directions. Painting has enriched my life."
For Denise, painting is her passion and finds that living in the Highlands enables her to indulge in art.
"I enjoy using palette knives to produce texture, colour, light and movement. Our ever changing seasons are an artist's dream," she said.
Judith says "painting has been a huge part of my life, an absolute necessity and love".
"Not only painting, drawing, printing and generally observing life. Never a slave to absolute representation but certainly being enchanted by endless clouds and life in general."
Vivienne is also a fan of mixed medium artwork.
"My paintings are large, atmospheric and full of surprising marks and patterns, inviting you to explore," she said.
"You know those old saw blade, spanners, bike chains and jar of nails that you have thrown out or sent to the tip? Well, they have been giving a new life in my latest collection of works.
"The rusted and patterned printed paper has been collaged into the landscape, capturing the weathered and wild beauty of our country."
'Four' will be at the Bowral Art Gallery from July 25 - July 30. The grand opening will be on July 27 from 2 pm.
