Painted by Waridjuri artist Aflie Walker, the stick was transported to Central Station via Moss Vale Station by train driver Jason Warren.
A large crowd of people came to witness the moment.
The message stick represents the way Aboriginal communities respectfully approach the issue of loss, grief and the Sorry Business.
The black bands signify respect and condolences towards the person and families, while the orange and blue paint signifies meeting places and conversations.
The white song line represents the journey and idea of moving forward through grief.
Travelling with the message stick was a canvas painted with a tree, where commuters and members of the public could finger paint.
The message stick and canvas will make it's way to Sydney Trains offices.
