Moss Vale Magic's Tristan Glenn is used to scorching the nets at Moss Vale Basketball Stadium, but now he's got his precision aim set on Milwaukee to participate in an AUU basketball tournament.
The AUU tournaments can improve skills, build connections and create interest from American Colleges.
Tristan left for Milwaukee on July 5 to peruse his hoop dreams, but this is a familiar feeling for the three point marksmen.

"I headed over to the States last year, same time as this year," Tristan said.
"I found that the games were much quicker over there. The players are also very athletic.
"Basketball is a lifestyle over there, it's not just a hobby. Everyone plays to get into college and its really competitive."
Having had previous experience in an AUU tournament, those first time jitters are rejected. As well as playing well, Tristan has more than one objectification while over in the States.
"Meeting new people," Tristan said.
"I like the community we had with teams last year, I'm hoping it carries over to this year. Also playing with a new team and a new environment. That'll be really fun.
Basketball is a lifestyle over there, it's not just a hobby.
- Tristan Glenn
Getting noticed in a sea of extremely talented players can be as hard as the competition itself. But Tristan has big dreams of breaking out from the crowd and improving himself.
"I'm really hoping to develop my defensive game over there," Tristan said.
"I'm confident in my shooting. I'm looking forward to showing that off, but I'll hopefully improve on aspects of my game and become a more complete player.
"If I continue to improve on those points, hopefully I'll be noticed by some colleges. A scholarship would be the dream scenario. But if that doesn't work out, I'd like to enhance my game and bring what I learn back here and continue to improve."
While competing, Tristan will be representing the country and looking to quickly gel with his new teammates.
"I'll be playing in an Australian team whilst over in Milwaukee," Tristan said.
"The teams will consist of players from around the country. The Australian teams will face off with American teams. We're called AUSA Hoops."
Following in the family footsteps, Tristan isn't the first from his family to head over to the states to play some ball. His father Mark Glenn who coaches the Moss Vale Magic Youth Team tried his luck over in the states in his playing days. The game has been in Tristan's life before he could remember.
"I didn't know my dad played but I was drawn to the game at a young age," Tristan said.
"I didn't know how to catch and it took me a competition and a half to start hitting the rim with the ball (laughs)
"So of what I can remember, I started in kindergarten and it's been in my life since I can remember."
Mark Glenn couldn't be more proud of his son. They get to bond over playing the game that they both love and Mark will be right by Tristan's side.
"It's great that he has the opportunity," Mark said.
"It's amazing that he has the support base to go over there with his friends and family behind him.
"Wherever he spreads his wings will be fantastic."
