Currently the average price of fuel in Mittagong is 148.2 cents per litre, while fuel prices in Moss Vale are slightly cheaper at 141.2 cents per litre for unleaded.
Diesel prices are still elevated at 151.0 cents per litre in Mittagong and 150.5 cents per litre in Mittagong.
Prices in the Sydney metropolitan region currently range between 127 cents per litre and 155 cents per litre, with an average price of 147.3 cents per litre.
Unleaded prices will slowly fall in the next 2 to 3 weeks.
Factors such as an 0.8 per-cent rise Tapis (Asian Crude) and the price rise for Mogas 95, the key petrol benchmark for Australia, from US $65.82 a barrel to US $70.20 a barrel have contributed to the high petrol costs.
