The alleged break in was discovered on the morning of June 21 by club member Graham Bairnsfather.
The aero club was not used between June 18 and June 20 and the gate to the property was locked. Only the club and council have keys to the gate.
Four model planes and four transmitters $300 each were taken, as well as a TV set, DVD player and some power tools.
The property was also ransacked.
The four planes and transmitters were donated to the Southern Highlands Aero Club and is a great loss to the small club who rely on donations from members and the public.
"The planes are training planes for new members learning to fly, so they don't have to outlay money for the sport," said club member Graham.
"The planes themselves aren't worth that much but replacing them will.
"We don't have that kind of money."
Southern Highlands Aero Club secretary Allan Aston said that the response from Wingecarribee Shire Council and Southern Highlands Police has been great.
"We've had an excellent response from the council and the police," he said.
"They were down here 30 minutes after we reported it."
Southern Highlands Police have processed the scene with a forensic team.
The Southern Highland Model Aero Club is located on Moss Vale Road, Burradoo. The cycle way runs to one side, with Briars Lodge situated on the other side.
The property was the former site of the Bowral Airfield and the building was used an office by the operators. Southern Highland Model Aero Club have been located at the property since 1989.
Police are appealing to the public to come forward if they witnessed the crime or have knowledge of the crime and to call Southern Highland Police or Crime Stoppers.
