The Moss Vale Tennis Club atmosphere during the competition was vibrant, nurturing and welcoming as Highlands Tennis Academy Staff strive to provide the best experience for their players as they can.
Children from Tudor House and Gib Gate schools, Exeter, Bundanoon, Colo Vale, Berrima, Burradoo, Moss Vale and Bowral participated in the different stage categories including red balls, orange balls, green balls and yellow balls and celebrated tennis in the best way possible, playing and enjoying each other's company.
The Moss Vale Tennis Club's ambitious project is taking shape as we have recently reached 200 members, almost twice as much as the start of last year.
Having had their last AGM last week we are looking at concluding a clubhouse extension by March next year and to continue to provide the utmost in service to our members and our community.
Mum of two players Monique Garrett said, "This was Isla's first comp and she did really well."
"She had a great time and is out there enjoying her friends and making new ones. Fletcher also won his green level Comp. Sergio and Fernando your passion and enthusiasm is infectious on the children. Anyone in the SH who are looking at children's sport, please give tennis a go."
One of the things that made the biggest difference in our increased membership is the implementation of an electronic access system.
Each member is provided with their own personal pin number which allows them access to the courts during daylight hours.
Members now have access to the courts 365 days a year with the odd exception of events like last Saturday.
A tennis family membership, 2 x adults, 2 x children for $120.00 annually, is a very affordable sporting outlay the whole family can enjoy.
Nadiah and Nigel Christensen mum and dad of one student said, "Sergio has been coaching our daughter Sophie for only one term, but it feels like we have been with him for years."
"Before we started with Sergio, our daughter was losing her passion for tennis which seemed sad considering her natural talent for it, but he was recommended through a friend and we were immediate impressed by him and his international experience.
"He is so warm and kind in character and coaching approach and he is technically amazing."
