'Music Lab' is open to all young instrumentalists and vocalists in the Southern Highlands who are keen to develop a better understanding of music performance.
There will be plenty of pizza, great music and a chance to pick up performance tips.
Run by Southern Highlands Jazz Inc., the Music Lab event is headed up by globally acclaimed jazz musician Ben Jones. Jones will be joined by a group of third-year musicians from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, which includes former Bowral High student Liam Aungle.
"We've got some incredible emerging vocal and instrumental talent coming down for the event from Sydney, so it's a great opportunity for young local musicians to find out what it's like to take things to the next level," said Ben Jones.
Students attending the workshop will have the opportunity to learn from vocalists, as well as instrumentalists covering clarinet, saxophone, keyboards, bass, drums and trumpet.
The event will end with a live perfomance by Ben Jones and the Conservatorium band at 7 pm ans is open to the general public.
Entry is free but registration is needed to attend the workshops. To find out more, visit https://www.shjazzinc.com/events or email shjazzinc@gmail.com.
