These two teams have gone to war more than once in the championship round of the Mittagong District Darts Association.
Both teams have beat each other in previous finals and this time around, pride was at stake.
It was either going to be redemption for the Kookas losing in the last finals, or domination once again for Rhonda's Kookas.
And this time around it was sweet redemption for the Kookas as they defeated Rhonda's Kookas 6-2.
Kookas team captain Dylan Whitby said it felt great getting the win as a team.
"It was an awesome achievement," Whitby said.
"We won it last year, then lost it, but we've retained it once again so I'm pretty stoked with the result. It was definitely a redemption game."
The Kookas put together an excellent team game and shot very well with finals jitters in the air.
"We shot really well and I think everyone in the team was really on their game," Whitby said.
"The match finished with a 6-2 result, so that's a pretty dominant win. Everyone played really well considering we were up against a pretty tough team."
The Kookas had been beat before by Rhonda's Kookas and weren't taking any chances, but the captain was quietly confident.
"In the last singles game, I thought we could take this," Whitby said.
"After we got that, I thought we had the game there."
Before he and his team were the dead-eye dart slingers of the Highlands, the passion for the game of darts began early in Whitby and he hopes this won't be the last win for the Kookas.
"I was at a friends house when I was a kid when I first started playing darts," Whitby said.
"His mum and dad played, so I started playing there and the rest is history as they say.
"We'll definitely be playing in the up coming tournament. We've set the standard I think, so we've got to encourage everyone to do the best they can.
"If anyone is interested to come down and play, it's a really good hand and eye coordination sport, and it's a great social scene. Once you start hitting a few good shots and you've got things going for you, it builds your confidence."
The next competition starts June 19 and Mittagong District Darts Association is for players to join the teams already established.
