The music camp was started to give musically interested blind students an opportunity to learn the Braille code of music.
The camp was founded by Roma Dix OAM and the late Ian Cooper AM. The week long camp continues under the guidance of Roma and Ben Clarke together with committed teachers and transcribers.
Ben is well known as the MC and with a team of blind musicians seeks to inspire children throughout the region.
The team have dedicated their time to help students learn and improve their Braille music skills.
At the camp students have the opportunity not only to develop a passion for music but to make life-long friends and establish role models.
The common interest of music, the high standards of teaching and the facilities at Frensham keep the budding musicians coming back every year.
All enjoy making music together and the culmination of each camp is a combined concert to showcase the week's efforts.
The Order of Australia Association has invited the community to attend the Braille Music Camp concert at Clubbe Hall on July 5 from 7:30pm.
Tickets cost $20 and $5 for students with RSVP by July 2.
