According to a NSW Ambulance media spokeswoman, one person suffered neck and back injuries in the crash, which happened just before 7pm on Monday about three kilometres past the Illawarra Highway.
The spokeswoman said there were no further ambulance resources required.
According to a Transport Management Centre spokesman, it is believed a vehicle had overturned during the crash.
The crash has closed one of two northbound lanes to allow for traffic crews to clear the site.
A tow truck and emergency services crews are also in attendance.
Motorists are advised to expect delays and allow extra travel time.
The incident was one of three crashes to happen on the Hume Highway on Monday.
