Police detected the 18-year-old driver travelling at 165km/h in a 100km/h zone at Sutton Forrest just before 11pm on June 8.
The man was issued with a traffic infringement notice and his licence was suspended immediately for six months.
Traffic and Highway Patrol Command assistant commissioner Michael Corboy said he was disappointed with some driver behaviour over the Queen's birthday long weekend.
"We have already seen a number of motorists take unnecessary risks on the road this long weekend," assistant commissioner Corboy said.
"After the recent wet-weather conditions, we don't want to see an increase in road trauma following the conclusion of this operation.
"Road fatalities have a tragic effect on everyone involved, from the families who must grieve a loved one, to the police who attended the crash, and the communities who have lost one of their own.
"It's simple: Slow down and stay alert."
Across NSW police have issued 2235 speeding infringements, conducted 106,860 breath tests and issued 106 Prescribed Concentration of Alcohol (PCA) charges.
There have also been 140 major crashes and three fatalities across the state,
Operation Stay Alert will conclude at 11.59pm on Monday, June 10. Double demerits are in force throughout the period.
Officers will be a highly-visible presence on the roads during the operation and will target speeding, mobile phone use, seatbelt and motorcycle/helmet offences, alcohol, drug-affected drivers and fatigue.
