We may now be in winter but the autumn beauty of the Southern Highlands is still a sight to savour.
Keen photographer Sandra Patterson snapped this stunning scene in late April and you don't have to look too far to see similar visions at the start of winter.
Ms Patterson said she was out and about and couldn't help but admire the autumn colours on show.
Of course the changing colour of the trees in autumn also heralds the fall of leaves on the ground. That familiar crunch of leaves under foot is a common sound at this time of year.
