Christine Hawkins has been recognised for her long standing service to business, commerce and primary industry with a Member of the Order of Australia (AM).

Ms Hawkins said it was fabulous to received the award.
"I was tickled pink," she said.
I've always been involved in business and economics and I've been on a lot of boards and it made me go in to research. It's a fascinating industry."
Ms Hawkins is the co-founder of the Grains and Legumes Nutrition Council (formally Go Grains Health and Legumes Council) and served as the inaugural chair between 2005-2009, and is currently the Managing Director of Cinnabar International, a corporate advisory business.
She was also the deputy chair for Grains Research and Development Corporation between 2002-2005 where she was prepared for the deregulation of the wheat industry before anybody else, calling it one of her career highlights and very rewarding.
Ms Hawkins is also a non executive director for the Southern Highlands Botanic Gardens, calling it "fabulous". She is also a member or non executive director for a number of boards and won the Commonwealth Government Private Sector Award and was a NSW finalist for the Telstra Business Woman's Awards in 2002.
