Police have issued two infringement notices to a P-plater for speeding on the Hume Highway near Goulburn twice within 30 minutes.

Police attached to the Traffic Task Force said at about 7:15pm on Sunday, June 2 they were conducting patrols of the Hume Highway near Medway and checked the speed of a white Holden Commodore displaying red P-plates at 114km/h.
The driver produced a P1 licence and was issued an infringement notice for $472 and 4 demerit points for exceeding the 90km/h maximum speed permitted by a P1 driver by over 20km/h.
About 30 minutes later on the Hume Highway, the same Holden Commodore was stopped again after its speed was checked at 105km/h.
The driver was issued a second infringement of $275 and 4 demerit points for exceeding his 90km/h maximum speed by more than 10km/h.
