The gentlemen of the choir will also perform a drinking song about being Wondrous merry. A special treat will be a presentation by popular local actress Miranda Lean.
Miranda has worked with the choir previously and in this program will present readings and poetry related to the winter theme.
Included in the program is a delightful piece from Disney World of Colour Winter Dreams entitled 'Glow' with music by Eric Whitacre. The ladies will perform the tranquil 'Velvet Shoes' creating a scene of walking soundlessly on soft white snow.
Two of the choir's favourite choral composers, John Rutter and Edward Elgar are included in the program as are songs with words by Shakespeare 'Blow, Blow' Thou Winter Wind' and Walter De La Mare, 'Winter' with music by Giamanco.
Well known pieces such as 'The Skye Boat Song', 'Winter Wonderland' and 'Baby It's Cold Outside' make up the program.
