In fact, Tinkerbelle adopted her owner, Stewart Young, 10 years ago after her previous owner passed away.
Mr Young, who jumped at the opportunity to snap this picture to share with readers, said Tinkerbelle was originally adopted (by the previous owner) from an animal shelter.
He said the loving moggy was now comfortably settled in her Penrose home in the Southern Highlands to "enjoy her retirement in a stately manner".
