If you build it, they will come.
Southern Highlanders would most like to see Kmart pop up on their main street.
A poll conducted by the Southern Highland News asked residents which shop they would like to see open in the region.
Kmart took out the top spot with 62.22 per cent of votes, followed by Costco with 16.67 per cent of votes.
The allure of a trolley filled with cheap home wares, pillows and hilariously large bulk packets of cheese and toilet paper was not lost on voters.
Options in the poll included JB Hi Fi, IKEA, Myer and other.
Other stores nominated by Highlanders included Lowes men's wear.
