Ram into your weekend with a visit to the 39th annual Robertson Wool Festival for a day spinning with excitement. That's right, Robertson Wool Festival is back with all the woolly favourites to warm your backs or even perhaps your hearts with a subtle gift for friends and family.The annual festival will showcase produce from local growers offering fleeces and other woollen products of varied colours and types for sale.
A Dogs Day Out
April 28, Retford Park 10 am - 3 pm
Retford Park and Friends of the Wingecarribee Animal Shelter have partnered together once more to bring you 'A Dogs Day Out'. Vendor Stalls, Dog Competitions, Obedience demonstrations, dog and history tours of the property will fill your day with fun and enjoyment. All dogs are to be on lead at all times, vaccinated, socialised and non-aggressive. Please remember poo bags which can be placed in receptacles provided. Water for dogs will be available on site. Tickets start from $5 and 25 per cent of profit from the day will be donated to FOWAS.
Heritage Raider
April 23 - 26, Bradman Museum 11.30am & 1.30pm
Looking for something to do in the school holidays? Head to the Bradman Museum and become a heritage raider. The hands-on 90 minute experience will allow you to hold real cricket artifacts, get your photo taken with 'The real McCoy' 2015 ICC World cup, take home goodies and a behind the scenes private tour. Southern Highlands Botanic Garden Autumn Gardens and Plant Fair
April 27 - 28, Southern Highlands Botanic Gardens 9 am - 4 pm
Take a break and head to the ninth Plant Fair over the weekend. Visit stallholders from across NSW and Victoria, including specialist Maple growers, one of Australia's largest camellia nurseries, clematis and perennial nurseries. The Plant Fair is part of the Autumn Open Garden Weekend, which will feature town gardens such as 'Bangala', 'Gowan Brae', 'Timbarra' and 'Wirreanda' in Bowral and the extensive and historic rural garden 'Rotherwood' at Sutton Forest. Entry $10 per garden; $10 Plant Fair; or $35 ticket for 5 gardens and Plant Fair.
Mittagong Junior Disco
April 27, Mittagong RSL 4 pm - 6 pm
Put your dancing shoes on, the Mittagong Junior Disco is back this weekend. Children will enjoy catching up and spending time with their friends before school holidays end. Tickets cost $5, children from 0 -14 are all welcome to attend. Money raised from the night will go towards children in the Southern Highland Community.
Berrima Schoolyard Market
April 28, Berrima Public School 9 am - 2 pm
The Berrima Schoolyard market is back on this weekend. Regularly held on the fourth weekend of every month, Berrima market boasts more than 50 stalls, including jewellery, fashion and plenty of food options. Keep the kids entertained with jumping castles and a playground while you grab a coffee or a pie. fresh produce, home made jams, sauces, pies, sweets ,french cheeses, charcuterie and more available on the day.
