The crowd fell to an instant hush as the ball was hoisted from half court, and for a split second Moss Vale Basketball stadium was in complete silence.
The in unison hush was due to one young gentleman by the name of Jez Butcher shooting a half court shot to win a cool $500.

The Mortgage Choice Half Court Shot competition is held at every Moss Vale Magic home game.
The last winner was in 2017. Jez has broken the drought but he didn't have the slightest inclination that he would make the shot.
"I was pretty shocked to be honest," Jez said.
"I was not expecting it to come close to going in. It was a good feeling when it went in."
The cold hard cash definitely had a hand in cooling off his sweating palms.
"I was so nervous," Jez said.
"There were so many people in the crowd, I just didn't want to airball it. I wanted to at least hit the ring.
"I've made a few half court shots, so I'll add this one to the list. This one was worth $500 and that money is going straight into the bank."
The Moss Vale Magic didn't have the same luck as Jez, falling to Albury 86-72.
The Magic's downfall was a slow first quarter. They fought back for the rest of game but the difficult start sealed the victory for Albury.
The Magic Youth League men will face the Inner West Bulls at 5pm on March 30 at Moss Vale Stadium.
The Mortgage Choice Half Court Shot competition will continue that for the rest of the season.
